What are heatmaps for?

Heatmaps are an analytical tool that allows you to see a more graphical representation of your page in terms of clicks and scrolls. With heatmaps, you can visualize which parts of your page visitors click on or scroll down the most (hot zones) and the least (cold zones).

With our heatmaps that are generated from visitor recordings, it is possible to see where visitors click and how far they scroll down a page. You can answers questions like, “Do they click where they are supposed to?” or “ Do they scroll far enough to reach the content they should see?” To learn more about heatmaps, read Lesson 3 of Smartlook School or check out our video tutorial on how to create and use heatmaps with Smartlook.
